Tours and Excursions

Educational tours and excursions which are of great educational value are generally organized by the school during holidays.

Competitions

The school organizes and encourages healthy competitive participation within GBRC Houses and outside between schools in a variety of activities such as sports. Games debates, essay writing. Drama, painting and declamation contest.  This fosters a spirit of fair play and loyalty to house and spirit-de-school.

In Play situations students learn to be humble in victory and courageous and bold in defeat.  They may lose a match but they learn the meaning of sportsmanship and team work.

Recreation

Educational as well as Feature Films in Hindi and English are shown to all the students on Sundays/festival days.  Censored programmes are also shown from time to time through disc channels. Any activity which is socially acceptable, capable of evoking voluntary participation is enjoyable and contributes to the building of personality falls into the realm of recreation.
            The school provides facilities for leisure time activities like Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess, Badminton etc.  Playground marked for junior students are also equipped with swings, a see-saw Jungle-Jim etc.  Our efforts are in action to equip each room and block with a T. V. set to promote learning habits among the boarders specially through the news and UGC Programmes.

Medical Care

An M. B. B. S.( Child specialist) doctor visits the school to look after the health and hygiene of the students.  Students who require further care and treatment are taken to Tekari and Gaya as per the advice of school doctor.  The management ensures to keep one standby vehicle in the campus all time during day and night.  Besides, one trained medical assistant who looks after the children medically to the entire satisfaction of children and their guardians.

School Transport

The school has got a fleet of 15 buses, students can avail of school transport facility subject to the availability of seats.  The school does not entertain any request for change of Bus routes to suit an individual’s convenience.  Changes of bus stop for a day/week is also not allowed.
            Students will have to opt bus facility at the time of admission/opening the school.  No request of withdrawal of bus facility will be accepted afterwards.  The school tries its level best to provide a satisfactory service but there may be occasions when a bus does not reach in time due to mechanical break-down or some other unavoidable reason.
            However we ensure that alternative arrangement has been made to pick up the students even from the farthest corners of Tetari. Our school buses are routed through all the routes.

Level of teaching

We endeavour to adopt new methods of teaching and make the students communicate freely with us on all subjects. Gyan Bharti is an institution that encourages community living, in which teachers are friends, philosophers and guides and feel pleasure in giving them parental love. The school is full fledged one. It has classes from Class I to Class X. The media of instruction is English, with equal emphasis on proficiency in Hindi. Our goal is to stimulate participation in cultural and intellectual endeavors towards development of the whole individual. Gyan Bharti is a place where living, learning, speaking and socializing are merged in to one providing maximum exposure for contact and interaction between the students and the faculty. All possible measures are taken to get their spoken English improved applying the latest skill of learning. Gyan Bharti is a colorful hermitage a true synthesis of Indian heritage and western ideas. There we do not shape us managers of the future but aim at making complete individuals.

Examinations and Promotions

The school has a system of continuous evaluation. There are monthly, terminal and Half-yearly tests and promotion to the next class depends on the total academic achievement of the student at the end of the session. The progress reports of the students are regularly sent to the parents. The general intension for promotion is that students know the subject matter of present class sufficiently well to follow the subject in higher class easily. The student should get at least 35% in each subject for the years average. The result is declared at the end of session is final and cannot be reconsidered. A student who shows no sign of improvement or who fails to obtain required marks in consecutive tests will not be permitted to continue his studies in the school
